AMD Introduces New Ryzen Processors
AMD held a presentation of new processors announced for the first quarter of 2017, the presentation was called "New Horizon" where they presented the Ryzen processor that should be compared to the intel i7 6900K processor. The Ryzen processor equipped with 8 cores and 16 threads, 4MB of L2 and 16MB of L3 cache and a 3.4GHz base clock speed will have a 95W TDP which is considerably less than the Intel 6900K with 140W.
Ryzen is shown in comparison to the i7 6900K and is shown to perform CPU-intensive tasks such as Blender and Handbrake, 3D rendering on Zbrush and KeyShot applications, at Star Wars: Battlefron (Rogue One DLC), Dota 2 and Battlefield 1, and for the Twitch stream
The exact release date and processor prices are not known, but if the AMD trend continues to focus on the average user as they did with the RX series of graphics cards, we can expect favorable processors of good performance.
